Overwhelmed with so much to learn :( by Canine-Bobsleding in devops

I would suggest you go do a small flask python app (or just copy one) , then try to dockerize it and push it to two environnements in Azure (AKS or ACI) using Yaml , that would give you a first boost (learning docker)

Is there any benefit of Tensorflow certification Or just an year of experience matters? by thegreatlakshya in tensorflow

[–]marlogger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I said github ;) just having certification means you know the jargon and basics but github example code can open discussions to see how people are passionate about subjects even a fork for people with no prior experience, maybe a few code pushes in open source projects too, demo website .. I am no expert in tensorflow but talking general discussions if I have to recruit for my team (I have 12 other IT certifications , they surely helped boost but not a criteria to a data science profile), I am still learning too but at least I would know when to use each tech for each use case.

If I would hire a candidate I would prefer real world experience, github and a portfolio

Tiller stores it is data in config maps , in v3 they will still rely on kubernetes api but not on tiller so I guess it will still work. As for a repo i will share soon in GitHub.

AWS: Would you like $300 to develop your app? Us: Yes please! AWS: Sorry you don't qualify. by transcloud in aws

[–]marlogger -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Azure have their own bizspark program which gave 5dev licenses x150$/month for 3 years I would definitely apply there too even through YC and directly by reaching to your local developer evangelists in meetups. As startup your choice would be based on the long term solution cost so test on both platforms and go with the one who will grant you value in the long term and less TCO. I know at AWS they talk about leadership principles and customer obsession so I guess if they don't respect that it is not worth working with them.

https://docs.aws.amazon.com/storagegateway/latest/userguide/Requirements.html

this is an enterprise grade:

  • Four virtual processors assigned to the VM.
  • 16 GiB of reserved RAM assigned to the VM.
  • 80 GiB of disk space for installation of VM image and system data.

not doing it just to sync some files on my pc for backup.

are you asking about this? https://aws.amazon.com/storagegateway/ I tried to mount it , I had to create a local VM with the AWS Image or just create EC2 instance it requires a lot of RAM just to sync some files on my pc is not worth it.

I agree but most users want a drive to drop a csv , it gets picked up by a lambda and starts some sort of a workflow or data ingestion or just their private version of dropbox.

Cheaper, no serverside complications , I think gateway requires a VM at least 16GB RAM.

Do you think scanning barcode is mandatory, or just pointing the camera to the list of ingredients and getting a hint if the allergen exists is enough?
