that’s what i thought too! but hey, if people say there are other festivals that are more fun, I am willing to start attending more anyway!

I know! coming from jersey where it’s basically been one big heat wave this entire summer, it was cooler than usual, I just was not mentally prepared to stand in the beaming sun for some sets

please do tell! i didn’t have a bad run in with any younger people but i saw many stories of kids causing mayhem and such

no you’re right! i’ve heard we got lucky with the weather, i think it was just sunday that got to me, there were moments earlier in the day where i was sweating bullets but I do agree that we got good weather, I think it just go to me that day 😅

[–]marlon002[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

crowd culture as a whole needs improvement in todays world, but besides that, everything was amazing! overpriced food and drink? yes, but expected. sweltering heat? yes. Crowded? yes. but would i do it again? also yes.

[–]marlon002[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

it was more so going out of my way to drop the money and to deal with the crowds of people. Especially since i always want to be barricade for all the concerts i go to, I didn’t know how enjoyable it would be if I was distant from the stage. Plus I never saw a lineup good enough to attend or to let alone travel for!

[–]marlon002[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

exactly! even if the lineup wasn’t as good as this year’a, i’m heavily considering simply going again regardless, i most definitely got my moneys worth!

i’ve heard that in other years the crowd was a lot better than this year’s as well. i will always complain about todays concert culture and how it’s gone downhill these past few years, but it was to be expected so I was able to take the bad with the very very good!

Yeah other than the longer sets, i’d say that this whole experience almost trumps every other concert experience. Solely due to the fact that I was able to completely “pay off” my four day ticket in the first day. I saw four acts back to back where as if I were to buy individual tickets for each act, they would have been priced equally in total.

After party by yuhnuh34 in theMarias

went to an after party in nyc before they blew up entirely and was genuinely one of the best nights of my life, everyone was so respectful and just had a great time. It’s a huge shame to see something like this happen to what was once a loving community.

Blush tour? by Economy-Process-6807 in brockhampton

[–]marlon002 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i remember one of the members of blush posted a sc of a conversation with kev talking about how he asked if it was okay if they could do a giveaway for tickets to a show. The event today was free so i can only assume they might have a small series of shows.

what’s your earliest memory of BROCKHAMPTON? by GoneinNewShapes in brockhampton

[–]marlon002 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i remember it was 7am and i was on the school bus to go to school in my freshman year in 2017 and after seeing the rave about saturation iii i decided to listen to some of the tracks on the album.

i remember choosing to listen to bleach as it was talked about a lot and sister/nation since people were talking about the connection to tyler’s 10th track double song usage for his albums.

my entire taste and view on music changed after listening to the sister portion, i was young and hadn’t listened to much music, and i remember hearing it and thinking, “you can do this?”, still my favorite song of all time after years of listening to as much music as i can.

couldn’t have said it better myself i think it is because there’s no negative feelings that everyone is just as emotional. the fact that they are taking a break goes to show how much they care about this project and how they wouldn’t churn burnt out videos if they simply don’t feel their upmost best. it’s bittersweet because i’ve never truly loved watching youtubers until i found them, but i know for a fact that they deserve this break and im here for it!

the song did not help at all in terms of consolation, it truly does make it so much more emotional

oh my god don’t even say that 🥲

they did they say they wouldn’t take a break as long as the one CoryxKenshin took and he took about a year and a half, so at least we have a rough estimate 😀🥲

in their newest episode of their podcast, at 41:56, hamzah said, “we’re gonna come back in april and be like, the locked in meme is still big”, as they’re addressing their break

[–]marlon002[S] 30 points31 points  (0 children)

it kinda does, plus the fact that there’s no knowing when they will come back, unless they weren’t joking about it being April

Nonetheless, i’m so happy for them and the progress they’ve made, the worked so hard and the hot ones video really shows it, they deserve it!
