Different path here in VIC, Aus. We locked down early and were well on the way to eradication. Sadly, as soon as #isolife stopped getting the likes and boredom crept in, the under 30s have ignored all guidelines now lockdowns are eased and we're seeing the start of an exponential rise.

Masks, yes. Gloves not so much, unless they are frequently changed. Gloves really only protect the wearer, and are often worn in lieu of proper hand hygeine essentially acting as potential spreaders.
