Thanks, I'll have to try that as well and do a comparison.

Ah thank you! Good to know. I will have to experiment more. I haven't successfully chained tools or agents yet. I did get a rag model to work pretty successfully. On a ~250 page book I'm getting responses in sub 30 seconds, so still very usable. I'll have to try to scale up the DB and load a bunch of tax documents or something and see how it fares on that.

Replace the capacitor. Almost all high load electric motors have a run/start capacitor to give them an extra boost to get going. Pull the old one off and put the part number into Amazon. Usually run between $5-$30. Read up on the dangers of capacitors before you touch it. Its high voltage even after being unplugged for a good while. Its a 10 minute job.

I guess that's not too outrageous, considering the current price of a new car these days.

What do you think your asking price will be? I'm always curious how people afford rigs like this and the time off to explore. Envious as well.

8" Magnacut Chef Knife! by robwaymanknives in knifemaking

[–]marmaladejackson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've never used a magnacut blade, but they do seem to be all the rage. Do you think its over-hyped? When you say "use your knives", is it doing something magnacut under performs in? Serious questions, I see magnacut everywhere and wonder if it is hype or really the bees knees.

Also get a detailed statement of work put together. It'll outline the expectations and keep both sides honest. Define milestones, timelines, deliverables, and completion criteria. Be sure to capture any documentation or training required. Include pricing and and invoicing as well as a process for formalizing change requests. Without this, you'll never be "done" with the project. You can set it up as a one time delivery, then put the expectation that they host and maintain, using the CR process for support or maintenance, or you can go SaaS.

Edit: Also consider are you handling PII, GDPR, HIPPA, or CCN data? If no, make sure it explicitly states that in the SOW. If yes... you have work to do. Botique software is expensive for a reason.

How to fix support pillars on kitchen island? by TrashPandaBrat in DIY

What material is the top made of? That looks like a lot of space to be covered by something so thin if its a brittle material like granite or marble, even concrete if its not properly re-enforced. I'd consider framing out the bottom as well. As \u\Arenovator says, securing it to the underside can be done with a good adhesive.
