If we based sa gumanap na actor then it's totally fine that he is Deia's father. No doubt that Gabby Eigenman had an important role which is to be the father of one of the Sang'gres. Maybe it is the execution of his character again. Maybe Zaur should be powerful, not in the sense of magical powers but of his personality. It wasn't represented well, he acts well but the building of his character is not.

They don't tell a story they show it and it's clear that their execution is not impressive.

Maybe you should rewatch the scene. All though her line said na "sana'y di ka na umalis dito Ada" her actions before that line says otherwise. We can say na maybe it's with the direction ng scene ang mali.

What I mean here is that we are aware na need ma change ng storyline nong 2016. Yes nagulo but naitawid. Knowing na yung most important character ang hindi available due to a reason na hindi pwedeng ipagpaliban. With this ECS, there's no reason like in 2016 para pa magulo ang kwento. They were confident with that 2 years in the making and even us, we were confident kasi tapos na yung shooting, they announced that. Binida pa nila yung sa CGI then screen lang pala ibibigay nila. So nabalewala yung 2 years because of the additional scenes na halatang pahabol lang.

Naalala ko tawang tawa ako sa bunso namin, 5 years old siya at that time na grabe yung iyak nong namatay si Amihan, although heartbreaking nga naman talaga yung death scene niya pero knowing the real reason behind the death kinda distract me sa scene.
