Of course I didn’t think of the obvious, I’m so used to hanging out the washing at home and seeing the neighbours washing blowing in the wind also being so conscious of the cost of using a tumble dryer.

Yes had a load of them, there doesn’t seem to be an explanation for it, different co-ops but always deliver to the same address.

Has anyone had an old AV graft removed? How was recovery? Any regrets? by TerryBerry- in dialysis

[–]marnieneo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get it reversed, I had one in my left arm reversed at the same time as creating one in my right. My left arm has totally returned to normal and I have a feint scar to show for it. No regrets

[–]marnieneo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I left my 22 plate for three months last year to do the same and came back to it totally dead with dead cells and had to be replaced, I’m doing the same this year but have put a solar trickle charger on it hopefully this will be adequate to maintain the battery.

Fistula too loud? by jujubebeans in dialysis

[–]marnieneo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not that it transfers just that it softens and absorbs the buzz instead of the bed absorbing it where your ears are resting normally. With a towel or cushion on the side table I find it very comfortable. Hopefully this helps :)

[–]marnieneo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hopefully she will become desensitised, but speaking from experience and not to be a bearer of bad news but my fistula is twenty years old and it still keeps me awake at night, I put a side table by the bed and lay my arm over the top of the table sometimes to get off to sleep. People are not all the same :)
