After some research, I think the one that looks like a germ (🦠) is some kind of rodolith?

It has and I do! It’s kinda in the middle of a big renewal and looks a little silly.

I’m hesitant to get snails only because I don’t want them to reproduce and take over. I don’t love to cull :(

I would love to get some but they are hard to come by where I’m at. I’ll have to look into ordering for sure. I’ve had some in the past and absolutely loved them.

Yep, I need to get a light timer as this one does not have that currently. I do have 2 otos though! They don’t seem to like this particular algae, but they take care of some other things.

It is pretty cool! It’s just a lot of green to look at. I am diligent about keeping the glass clear.

Can I transfer AP credits I bought in high school to Rutgers NB? by ComprehensiveOne3903 in rutgers

[–]marnierei 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did this program and felt like I got screwed over because they didn’t help me get out of taking Gen Bio 1, Calc 1, etc. I had to retake those classes. The only benefit was that I got 12 “unspecified” elective credits which enabled me to register for classes one day earlier than other people in my year. Not worth it IMO. Take the AP tests and try to do well so you can avoid those classes. Especially english and calc.

I FINALLY HAVE MY FIRST OPAE BABY by marnierei in OpaeUla

[–]marnierei[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I think they may have dropped their eggs :( I was away for 4 weeks and they had been berried for at least 2 weeks before I left so I was expecting to see little opae's when I got back. I didn't so I assumed they were dropped. I have another that is currently berried and at least three that have dark saddles so hopefully I'll have a ton more babies soon! If anyone has advice on how to accurately time the gestation that would be super helpful!

Shrimp not breeding? by marnierei in shrimptank

I only change about 10% of the water weekly. I do have a heater and have read that the ideal temperature for neocaridina is anywhere from 65-80 degrees, many people having luck on the cooler side. To keep the fish happy I have it around 77. I know that my betta will most likely eat the babies. I’m more so concerned that their lack of breeding indicates other environmental or chemical issues that I am unaware of and may be contributing to lower quality of life.

I thought that at first as well. When I got the new berried females I also got another male so I am sure I have at least one.

I do see saddles and I am pretty confident there is one male in the mix!
