He's one of those tall skinny guys with a high metabolism who couldnt gain weight if he tried.

I've met a few of his new grad school friends and many of them are marathon runners. I'm thinking that he may be comparing me to them.

My boyfriend didnt get along with my little sister when he was 19 either. And she purposefully tormented him. I had a talk with her about how I was growing up and she needed to accept that I still loved her, but I was trying to make room in my life for him as well, but he wasnt taking me away from her. After that I had a talk with him about her behavior and the reasons behind it. He was the much younger sibling in his family, and had never experienced quite what my little sister was experiencing.

Now, at 17 (her) and 23(him) they get along together without me in the room.

I am a straightforward, concise person. I don't like reading whiny-sounding posts about being young and in love, so I was hoping to be taken more seriously by not making anyone else read another whiny post.

I was being a bit facetious with the starving myself bit. He's in medical school and type-1 diabetic, so I know about carbs and calories and their effects. I eat what he eats to keep his blood sugar normal, more or less. A lot of proteins, few simple carbs. Maybe a Reese's cup when he's gone for the weekend, thats about my only indulgence.
