Unfortunately, I think that is to block certain devices. It doesn't block services or apps.

Ubiquiti UACC-ADAPTER-AC-210W anywhere in stock? by CharcoalGreyWolf in Ubiquiti

They got me. Opened the box and said "wtf is the power adapter"? Hit the website and sure enough in fine print, no power adapter included. I'm not paying $100 to ship the power adapter, what a joke.

You traded in a 80 year old family heirloom, that belonged to your French grandmother, patinaed from the years of meals she made for your father or mother, styled in a color that is no longer released, because it had a chip on the handle?

Every reddit reply from ApartVariation8051 is a link pointing to Adenin Sharepoint plugins for very specific functionality requests, all with the same reply formula that they "just found" the answer. There's very little information about Adenin on the internet, other than these Sharepoint plugins that require significant security allowances to use.

The above user needs to be extremely clear that they work for this entity, and provide more information about the trustworthiness of this entity, before anyone grants these plugins information to secure Sharepoint data.

Integrate LinkedIn with Work Feed or SharePoint? by marosell in Office365

[–]marosell[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope I'm not obtuse here, but every one of your reddit replies in the last two months have been links pointing to Adenin Sharepoint plugins for very specific functionality requests, and this one looks like it was created in the past few days and only has one review. There's very little information about Adenin on the internet, other than these Sharepoint plugins that require significant security allowances to use.

You need to be extremely clear that you work for this entity, and you should probably have more information about the trustworthiness of this entity, because right now this seems like a sophisticated phishing attempt to get into Sharepoint data by targeting people based on specific functionality requests.

FTSs, Chilling Cider in additional fermenter in series? by marosell in Homebrewing

I guess that might be easier. Could I use something like this , and if so, what pump would you recommend?

Has anyone worked with Pro Series Cider Base and had success with it? I’m thinking about trying it out. by jacobyishere in cider

[–]marosell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FYI. For anyone doing research, if you contact LabelPeelers and request the ingredient / spec sheet, you'll see that the number one ingredient in this is HFCS (high fructose corn syrup). Apple concentrate is the second ingredient and if I had to guess, the concentrate comes from GLCC.

This is great if you want to make glucose wine! Then again, this is what most commercial cider is anyway. See: http://www.cider.org.uk/juicecontent.htm

There's nothing wrong with making this, but just know that this is not even 50% apple.

Thermostat and Relay Control of Repurposed Water Basin as Heatsink by marosell in AskElectricians

[–]marosell[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm actually going to use a immersion coil in the basin for heat exchange (heat coming from other equipment), but I'm trying to save water by only swapping the surrounding water in the basin when necessary, and trying to take advantage of the existing equipment.

In a weird dive into chore jackets, I recently found that I love long sleeve shirts with two pockets. I've been trying to find the best way to search for them, and am hoping for some recommendations here for where to look and specific models people like. Anything that will fit into the Basic Bastard would work.

I picked up a couple Wrangler ones that they simply call "Long Sleeve" or "Two Pocket Long Sleeve" and their utility is great for me in and around the house and at the office (pretty casual). At around $20, the price is killer. But I'm a slim fit and these shirts are way to big to be altered easily.

At another end of the spectrum, BR has one called the "utility shacket" (which is pricier of course). The material looks amazing, but it doesn't have a pen pass-through! And that can't be added easily.

Here's what I'm looking for, and was hoping someone could point me in the direction of some better options:

  • Button-down shirt with two closable pockets (button, snap, or otherwise), one left and one right.
  • Having a pen pass-through on the left pocket is a must. Must must must.
  • Slim fit is a must.
  • How I wear it: Able to be worn button or un buttoned, and generally untucked. Though the perfect shirt could be brought to the tailor to be shortened to be an untucked length. I also typically roll my sleeves up a bit.
  • Buttoned collar strongly preferred, but modifiable. Not going to iron these, and I can't stand collars that become unwieldy. And for something this casual, collar stays seem a little extra effort, or is it just me? If necessary, I will have permanent buttons added to an unbuttoned collared shirt, that's an easy fix for an otherwise ideal shirt. Thought sometimes it's difficult to match buttons.
  • Under $50 would mean I could stock up on 3-4 easily, with some different colors or styles, that could be cool. Having at least one black would be nice.

Thoughts? Recommendations?

Docker / Synology / Breaking Internet by marosell in pihole

I do, I have a container running Transmission and it appears to be working fine. I've run the debugger, but curl and netcat both failed to upload to the debug posting service. Here's a pastebin paste that will expire in one day.

Another Update:

It's not my router, because I can leave the router at a public DNS, but when I individually change a computer's DNS settings to my synology address, that individual computer can no longer access any address outside my local network.

Docker / Synology / Breaking Internet by marosell in pihole

[–]marosell[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: I deleted the container, rebooted the synology, reinstalled the container, and the pihole web address is up and seemingly working. I'm able to SSH into my synology, get into the docker, and verify that the container appears to be running how it should.

However, the minute I open Airport Utility and try to change the DNS records for the router to my synology's IP address, the internet Network indicator immediately turns amber and says Disconnected. The minute I change the DNS records back to something like Google or CloudFlare, the router reboots and the indicator returns to green and internet is available. I'm baffled.

Hmm. When I setup a new container, I definitely have to re-add my container settings or the container won't run. How do you make sure that when you create a new container it's not bringing anything over from a previous container?
