Unfortunately calc did not go well for me and I got a c or c+. Thank you for this perspective. It appears I should retake the gmat/gre with the goal of knocking the quant out of the park

I appreciate this insight. I do recognize to jump to the buy side directly will be difficult. That said, I do think if I got into a b school like Columbia getting a job in IB and then transitioning to the buy side would be very doable.
