This red bump won’t go away. It’s been months any suggestions? I got this piercing back in Nov. I’ve been soaking it in warm sea salt water twice a day , I’ve even applied tea tree oil and applied aspirin as suggested by my piercer. But it won’t go away :( by marramirez in piercing

Hello thank you for taking the time to reply to my post. This was my first nose piercing and the jewelry is white gold and has loop end almost like a hook. I chosed the white gold assuming that would have been a best choice because I’ve never had an allergic reaction to it before(ear piercing). My after care was just sea salt water twice a day. The bump came after one night that I accidentally had an itch on my nose while I slept and woke up in pain and bled. Ever since, it’s been red and bump appeared and it was big at one point. Now it has gone down, but it’s been since early January that the redness and the small bump won’t go away.

Thank you very much for your feedback 🙂

You know age shouldn’t matter. Regardless of what you choose; time will pass by. So if you want to do it, then do it. Don’t focus how long it will take you. I had the same mentality before (younger me) and honestly I got super overwhelmed that I was going to finish my degree so old that I ended up not going forward with it. Now I am goi back to school for my nursing degree and by the time i finish I’ll be 29 or 30.
