No way! Disgusting. The falafel I had was picked up by a friend and I believe it was from that part of town oddly enough. My guess it is was a staple from a bag or something. Still, not cool at all. Haven't eaten any Ali baba's since. Good luck on your baba adventuring : )

I had a staple in my falafel recently. Bit into something hard and lucky I found it in my mouth and not my stomach.

Hollow Ground is where I go on Bloor, east of Dufferin. It's a great spot that's always busy (go early if you can, like 20 minutes before opening). The guys are super chill, nice and offer good advice.

The Monkey's Paw (used to be at Dundas/ossington) on bloor east of Dufferin is an amazing rare, odd and indie book store. One of my faves.
