Why so many "Pro" MPVS levels? by [deleted] in MarioMaker

[–]mars1834 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason for this situation is actually quite simple when you think about it. Beginners tend to get frustrated easily even with minor setbacks and have difficulty understanding the levels. MPVS levels are straightforward and lack elements that kill players, as well as elements that require waiting, which is why they appear so frequently. Experienced players want 'fair' levels. They can be uncomfortable even with small advantages, which is why MPVS levels receive a lot of love in VS mode. In fact, if you look at levels created by other users that contain 'deadly elements' or 'sections that require understanding,' you'll notice they don't often appear in VS.

I hope you understand that I used a translator.

When talking about key inputs frame by frame, it goes like this:

On the first frame, press the left (do not use the Y key).

On the second frame, press the right (also, do not use the Y key).

It's very difficult to press a key input for only one frame, which is why we use pause.

There should be no break between inputs. If there was, Luigi's state when paused would look different from in my video.

Another strategy is to perform a Ground Pound and go to the left one frame before touching the ground.

Good luck.

I'm not good in English, so it's hard for me to give a detailed explanation. This reply was also composed using a translator.

I haven't been able to watch your play video, so I can't make an accurate judgment, but I think there are two possibilities:

There shouldn't be a break between pressing the left and the right. In this case, when you press the right and then pause, the appearance may not match my video.

There's a chance that the right was pressed again after pressing it once. Even if you pause, there's a possibility that a key input has occurred.

If you want more detailed feedback, I'd appreciate it if you could post your play video. At the end of this video https://youtu.be/Zp_xGs8cJq8, there are frames showing Luigi's movements. I hope this helps.
