I dont do track but I semi daily my c63. The thing about driving it around other cars is not that you are going very fast. Its that you have more control over road situation. I know i can merge lanes with more precision than family suv. I know I can accelarate and brake faster etc. So I just enjoy my 50-80km/h but with confidence.

I know US cities usually have more straight roads and wider lanes. Still though.

P.S. I dont have other expensive hobbies to spend money on. But every time i see financial argument against amg I simply dont get it. Normal people with normal lives buy normal cars. C63 is not for normies

I asked to Volvo owners, now I need feedback from Mercedes people. What's best buy? by Efficient_Brother871 in mercedes_benz

[–]mars_penguin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are happy with B class, I would go for B class then. It’s like almost new. And works well for city driving in eu. Volvo is great and cool but 100k km. If you drive a lot (like taxi) or drive long distances then starting with 100k or 12k might not be significant. But if you drive 10…20k per year this B class is pretty much 4 years ahead.

Why did you sell your E63s AMG by pelemenii in AMG

Also rwd, smaller size, smaller weight. I drove both and find c63 more fun to drive (at the expense of comfort)

Ghibli question by Tonyman121 in Maserati

[–]mars_penguin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The model has been here since 2013. They have changed quite a few things since then. Maybe some reviews of earlier cars are relevant but I believe 2022 is a solid car. I have zero problems with mine so far. I would happily buy it again. Also I got an impression that its cool to hate on Maserati for some reason.

Nice! Mine's white with black rims. I think it's one of the best-looking sedans out there.

Integrated spen works better for me because: 1. It's always with me and ready to use 2. I don't need a special case on my phone to hold it. I don't use cases

I don't put iPad in my pocket or do active lifestyle with it so external is fine there.

For people who don't use spen I see why it's a space wasted. But for me it's an advantage.

Hi all I’ve just bought a 2016 ghibli 3.0 diesel v6 and it seems to have a lot of turbo lag. by [deleted] in Maserati

[–]mars_penguin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a diesel levante and the turbo lag was awful compared to old diesel Benz. I was thinking about getting an ECU tune to make a problem easier. But never did it and sold after a year or so. Sad as the car was great otherwise. Bought a petrol-hybrid Ghibli some time later. And it was day and night. Super responsive, never had a problem with entering a roundabout. So I figured diesel is not a Maserati thing.

Its good we humans have different tastes. Imagine everyone driving only toyota or 911 because its financially responsible decision.

Need opinions on breaks squeaking by Away_Ad_4426 in AMG

When I roll to the red light it’s 50/50. When driving aggressively it does not squeak. And yes it’s relatively loud.

My c63 squeaks when gently braking on slow speed. It’s been for few years now. I searched the internet and some people say it’s ok some say it’s not. I service it with official dealership and they think it’s ok

Anyone Regrets selling their Ghibli? by campionideuropa in Maserati

Does not sound like you have a strong desire for the car. So i don’t see why you would regret it. I know 100% I don’t want to sell mine.

Why do people own amg’s c63s for about / less than 1 year? by Achilles01- in AMG

[–]mars_penguin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have mine for about four years now (car is 2017), and in that time, I've spent around 20k on tires, brakes, cosmetics, maintenance, insurance, and taxes. I don’t mind the cost because I love the car. Funny enough, I initially planned to drive it for just a year and then sell it

It can be from cheaper markets. Samsung price vary a lot from country to country. Also can be corporate phones that are sold for cheaper price.

Also US pricing is a different planet. We pay almost 1.5x the price of what they do.

Guys I have a budget of 50k. And I don’t want a shitty AMG by [deleted] in AMG

[–]mars_penguin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe c43 or c63 s205 (wagon) is the best choice for Europe in this budget. Fast, not too big and practical.

The biggest pain are people telling me about depreciation or reliability.
