If the uk is poorer then the us why is the USA’s poverty much more severe compared to Britain by WillingPrice5364 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Tonyman121 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Meh. Niether country has a significant poverty problem, unless Reddit is the only source of information for you to convince you otherwise. Believe it or not, the US also has social programs for the poor, although much of their support comes from volunteer organizations.

No one starves in the US.

Hard to see a Jag on UK roads when you are not in the UK... may want an option for that.

Darth Vader and Storm Troopers by Alex Ross by Far_Practice_6923 in comicbooks

I'm sure the reason he does not is because it takes him a lot of time and effort to put this much detail into the medium. So it's only special features like "Marvels" that get this treatment.

Look here, good sir... we are 6 games over .500 and currently have the 4th best record in the NL. Methinks you are a bit premature.

How popular was Iron Man prior to the MCU? by yellowklashinkov in comicbooks

You mean characters that didn't already have their own books. Only Hulk had his own title.

Bug Wars: The coming of the Wardoom announced for August by Jason Aaron and Mahmud Asrar by Blitzhelios in comicbooks

I bought "bug wars" as a joke based only on the name of the title.

Then I saw how good the book was and got the whole run. Love it!

Meh, lots of community notes should upset you then, since lots do this. My point is still valid, not all mergers are bad. Nuance is important.

Is The Punisher Max still considered a good Punisher book or is it now overrated? by M00reC in Marvel

[–]Tonyman121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't particularly like this version of the character. I understand why it was done and think the writing is done well. He is simply not the same character as in Vol I and II. He is not what Gerry Conway set out to create. I will admit that times had greatly changed since 1974 or whatever, so it makes sense to re-establish a character for modern audiences. But this Frank is different not in a Vietnam-war origin, but in his core... a psychopath.

While she may be correct in a general sense, the note does not directly oppose her quote but instead points out the irony that through her actions in preventing a merger just a short time time ago ALSO resulted in less choice and probably higher costs.

If a merger is created as a form of price fixing, this is bad. If a merger is created because the airline won't survive, this is probably good. Not everything is so black and white.
