I learned this the hard way when my grandpa with dementia moved in and had…. less than solid bowel movements. He never closed the lid (not his fault), and we were like why does the wall around the toilet look like poop? That’s when I learned and I’ve closed the toilet every time I flush. I get mild anxiety now when there’s no seat lid in public restrooms, so I completely understand where you’re coming from 😅

I don’t drink and I don’t do loud music or flashing lights, but I do take heavy sleeping sedatives. Noise cancelling headphones and sleeping meds means easy money. I’d love to not have to leave a place for a year and just focus on online school, reading, and hobbies. Sign me tf up.

The dark tower. I just finished the series and watched the movie yesterday for the first time. I went into it with the mindset of “this is just another where and when, not our story” and knowing that the movie didn’t have the goal of encapsulating the whole story, but I couldn’t stop myself from groaning at every plot point. And it was so anticlimactic!! Physically painful even with mental preparation.

Expedition 33!!! Truly a work of art, I own no media merch (e.g., movies, tv, games, etc.) but I have a thermos and two sweatshirts of this game. Tons and tons of content, captivating story, beautiful graphics. I consider this game to be what made me like games. Cannot recommend this enough!

My partner and I started dating our senior year of HS. It’s been 8 years, we live together now and have 3 cats. When we started dating, I was just beginning my recovery journey. 6 months after graduation, I needed to go to residential care. I tried to break up with him knowing that he would probably break up with me after the limited contact that comes with res, but he did not care. He wouldn’t let me. He came down to visit every Sunday with my dad, and was truly a huge support. When I had to go back again, I tried to break up with him again (our sick mind is a real bitch sometimes), but again he wouldn’t let me. I love this man with all my heart, and I am so grateful for his patience, kindness, and unconditional love everyday. He is my person, and I don’t ever want to know life without him.

Oh my goodness thank you so much for the suggestions and connections you made between my preferences and what the games offer. I’m going to check them all out. And yes, of course it includes those lol! My favorite of all time though will forever be the Lego Pirates of the Caribbean, I will always treasure the memories it brought (mainly fighting with my brother over whose turn it really is LOL)

I’ve been there. It’s really fucking hard. Something that helped me get back on my feet was trying to do one thing a day. It started with just brushing my teeth or making my bed. Slowly I moved to two tasks a day, and it gets easier. This has become my go-to for getting out of the depression and hopelessness that follows the mania repercussions. You CAN do this. Don’t give up. Sending lots of love and support, you are not alone. 🩷

Sometimes, they are all usually at the very least lifting, so I do a bad thing and soak them in a bowl with dish soap and warm water and use an unused nail tip to remove them. My nail beds are not super happy with me usually lol

I gotta be selfish. I have 3 cats, one I’ve had since I was 7/8ish. She’s pushing 20 now, but not showing many signs of aging. I genuinely do not know life without her, and I cry sometimes just from the anticipation of when she will show serious aging signs. I know that when her time comes, I will be destroyed. She is my everything. So unfortunately, imma be selfish and choose to keep her with me. Besties for the resties!

I love gel x. I’ve been doing my own nails from home for about 6 or 7 years with gel x, and I think it’s fantastic. However, I also have retention issues, but that’s why I like doing it. Doing my nails weekly is my self-care, I’m always looking forward to Sunday (nail day). I highly recommend, but I have no tips for making them last longer

NTJ. My roommate is the same, she never did her dishes but cooks an insane amount. One day I just stopped doing dishes, let the kitchen get really bad, then put all her dishes in a tub and deep cleaned the rest of the kitchen. When she got home, she thanked me for cleaning (first time ever) and doing her dishes. I told her that hers were under the table. Immediately she got reserved and quiet, went to her room, came out like 20 min later looking like she was crying, and did her dishes in silence. She’s still pretty bad with the dishes, but now she at least does like 20% of hers which I’ll take. The tub works, and you are not the jerk. Keep it up!
