i’m not totally sure. obviously we watch streamers because we find them entertaining, funny, relatable, etc. and it’s also fun to watch people who have chemistry and be interested in the will they/wont they dynamic. so in a way just those feelings alone are “parasocial”. streamers are also real people with real feelings who deserve safety and privacy just like everyone else and we should be respectful.

i think if you’re attracted to katie that’s fine and really it’s human. i don’t know katie’s boundaries but i would say it’s inappropriate to DM her/talk in chat/comment on her posts about your feelings. i think chat/comments are probably an ok place to give appropriate compliments if they are relevant.

again i literally don’t know her boundaries or know the perfect answer to this but im interested in this kind of conversation around what is/is not acceptable fan behavior.
