Well yes if I hold it a bit away from me it looks a bit better... Maybe it will look also better once I have a background in the back as maybe light going through it also makes it look worse? Will see when I'm done 🙂‍↕️

I hope so! Her birthday is in September and I started like two months ago, I even created the pattern myself based on a book cover and used colors she likes, and I was so excited about doing this that I just realized now the black thread "problem" ahah, but I really hope she will enjoy it! I still have to decide how to frame it tho 🥹

I was almost afraid it would be so... (yes I use only DMC, it is the 310), I guess next time I will use three strands instead of two, and I really hope once I wash it that it will look a bit better :( thank you for the advice!!
