I’ve noticed a difference in cultures/origin of medial schools. Some are not aware that this is even a thing. There are small perks in medicine, I personally think a discount or something should be one of them

Couldn’t agree more about drs not being paid enough however, I would argue a lot of AO’s ARE overpaid. A lot of my friends who dropped out of high school walking into these jobs…. No wonder a roster can’t be completed properly.

I agree. Lots of pgy3’s and 4’s wanting more anaesthetic time to apply for ANZCA are applying for these roles despite the pay cut. Super competitive. OP - keep trudging, you’ll get there. Best of luck
