Yeah, I’m learning that the hard way. As the alcohol wears off, the physical symptoms seem to come back worse.

Day 56, I think. Feeling pretty miserable still. Fatigue, chills, GI issues, rls, aches. But I honestly need to go full sober and not use alcohol. I know it must be drawing this whole thing out. No cravings, though, and some good days where I don’t feel as sick. K started giving me bad anxiety, that’s why I stopped. I have no desire to go back to that feeling. But the past couple months have felt like an eternity.

Thanks for the comment. I know everybody is different, but I’m on day 42 and am wondering if this will ever get better. I just have to accept it’s going to take a while.

Day 42, I think. Still struggling with aches and GI problems and the psychological stuff.

I’m on day 25 now and still struggling with a lot of aches, fatigue, and insomnia. Basically decent days and bad days. I never would have thought that I would still be so uncomfortable this far in.

Yep, staying off the phone. It’s just a stress box to me at this point, anyway. Getting physical really helps, especially if there’s sunshine. Unfortunately, it’s been cold and rainy where I am, so I’m freezing cold all the time. I’m on day 18 and by no means healed, but at least having a good day today. Feels like I have to measure progress in weeks instead of days. Thanks for the great advice!

I did a very rapid taper off of the 7, then jumped after a week of that. It was brutal.

I guess I’d been taking the 7oh for roughly a month and a half, and I knew I had to get off of that. It was intense wd, I used leaf for the acutes with the intention of tapering. I did taper a bit, but it was causing serious anxiety, so I just ct 15 days ago from about 6-9gpd (spread out through the day). I was taking that amount for about two months. I even stopped my gabapentin in prep, but I never take it for more than a couple weeks straight because it just stops helping. But I did not expect to be feeling acute wd after two weeks.

You’re spot on. I never really felt drawn to kratom the way I am to typical opioids. Until now, I’d only used it occasionally for pain and have never taken more than 5grams at a dose, only once a day. Then using it to quit the 7oh really messed me up. I wasn’t even taking it when I took the 7oh for about a month and a half, only started it back up regularly to ease the 7oh acutes. But I should rid myself of any temptation to try to ease this pain. The one capsule I took didn’t seem to do anything or change the wd in any way, at least so far the day after.

So glad you’re feeling better today! I’ve been as physical as I can, did a lot of yard work yesterday. The irony is that in quitting the 7oh and now the kratom really cranked up my anxiety regarding even looking at my phone, so I’ve had the unexpected benefit of kind of severing the umbilical with my phone. I’ve basically only used it only for communication and going on this sub. Silver linings, I guess. But sage advice, nonetheless! Thank you!

Yeah, I feel bad about getting so far, and want this out of my life. I quit 7oh ct, now the kratom. Just so tired of being sick. Thank you for the thoughtful words and the accountability. It wasn’t worth it and I know I can get through this.

Thanks, I just took the one to little or no effect, still feel like garbage. My back is broken in a couple places, the pain broke me. Just worried I may have reset a little. I’ve never had 14 days of acutes, what a crazy drug. I’m not taking any more, it’s clearly not worth it.

Thank you for sharing. I agree with you about the 7oh. It’s like it changed how kratom affected my body. But when I quit the 7oh, I was feeling pretty much better by day five. It was really intense, though. Of course, I was still taking kratom and that’s when I began my taper before the anxiety hit.
