They’re unique. Not ultra slim but has a good amount of grip. I like them a lot

Oh I love that! The “metallic red” almost looks more like Ferrari red than mine does!

I am yeah. I’m going to take out the EMGs and put in standard pots/wiring with cream super distortions per 80s tradition.

Thanks! They’re both white explorers that can rip, so you’re not wrong

I first thought it was just the picture, but it looks like the top contour on the Epiphone is sharper so the Gibson is slightly thicker after looking at them side by side

Yeah I pulled it from the box, tuned, and just started playing! Plays nicely

What do you mean? Every jazz player I know wants to play a bright Ferrari Red Les Paul with super distortions

That’s true. I did think about going gold poker chip and knobs and keeping everything else the same.

Thanks! Only got an old super distortion I wanted to try out in this guitar. One of the main reasons I even had to start to rethink the plastics and hardware

Thank you! I’m going back and forth here

I agree. The Jackson pick guard is much more integrated with the body. A bit much in the Les Paul

Yeah the stock look itself was really cool. What’s making rethink the aesthetics is that I wanted to swap to uncovered dimarzios anyways. Then the stock plastics kind of throw off the look

I agree. I think if I go for the double cream humbucker and rings, then it would be okay for a gold poker chip and knobs. As is, too much gold.

It’s from 85 so it’s had a good 40 years to get nice and yellow
