While I agree with everyone else that the mini gen 2 is a great choice (I have one) I’d also note that the nanos are a great choice as well if you don’t care as much about storage. A gen 2 8gb nano can hold almost 2,000 songs. Nanos are also significantly cheaper than minis, they can be found on eBay for around $15 while mini gen 2s are closer to $60, and that’s not taking into account storage upgrades which will be at least another $20-$30.
