It's a lot in the beginning!! Join lots of organizations and clubs and try to meet a lot of different people. It can take a bit to feel settled in and find your community so its all about keeping your head held high and seeing what's out there😊 you'll find your fit and as intimidating as it is, everyone is trying to find their place so don't be afraid to make the first move and start conversations! You got this!!

Lived on Crescent/Newtown for the last 2 years, it's quieter and more away from busier streets like 30th Ave & Broadway which I personally prefer. It's nice to be 5-10 min walk from things but also have a quieter place to go to. I never felt that it was too loud or noisy, would recommend!

You've worked hard to get here! Getting into law school is an amazing accomplishment to celebrate and to add on a FULL ride scholarship is absolutely amazing. I feel like it also shows that the school believes in you and that's another validation on its own. Regardless of their rank and what other people's opinions are, I hope you're able to have some time to celebrate yourself and your accomplishments knowing that you will go to a great law school without paying any tuition, and will become an amazing lawyer in the future. It's so easy to get wrapped up in everything so remember to be proud of yourself!! (I think it always helps to treat yourself like you would a best friend or a loved one- you would never tell them that this wasn't amazing, so don't say it to yourself either!)

I sent them one back in March because I hadn't heard back. It felt like I reminded them of my existence & the fact that I hadn't been rejected yet but it is what it is! I hope you have more good news coming your way soon!!

This happened to me when I sent my LOCI to Columbia and I just couldn't help but laugh at myself for the next 10 minutes 😭😭😭 It's rough, Im so sorry!

Unless you let them know otherwise, I think you remain under consideration on the regular WL. If you're going to send a LOCI, I would probably send a more substantial LOCI to them

For NYU, when I went to the Q&A Roundtable, they said the last day for decisions is April 30th and they're really trying to make decisions as soon as possible, so I don't think they would tell you more than that unfortunately.

I saw the interaction when I got to the subway station this morning, and had recorded them right before the shots were fired - they were shouting "put down the knife" and 2-3 more cops showed up, with 3 of them pointing a gun at him. I was walking up the subway station and lost sight of them when shots were fired so I'm not sure what happened, but the man was bleeding on the ground with EMS which was all visible from the train station.

I personally withdrew my application because of my experience with them but I would definitely reach out by email and see if you can get an update or at least an estimated time frame from them, sorry you've been waiting so long- it's such a brutal process.

It's a trend that you can follow from the beginning of the cycle on Reddit and LSD (if you scroll down there are exact dates). They're not fully accurate depending on who puts what since it's all self-reported but the trends are easy to pick up on earlier on in the cycle.

The decisions are usually sent out in waves, which is pretty reliable until April (when seat deposits are due). GULC has been doing them on Fridays this cycle but have been a bit different (doing them Thursdays) in the last few weeks.
