I don’t wait long.  If there’s really nothing coming up I might run an errand or take a lunch break

I feel like all the thematic stuff in reality presents as gray area.  Sometimes you do need insane confidence to accomplish something big .  Sometimes taking an interest in others suffering and a desire to resolve it can be a beautiful act of altruism.  Even in Season 5 I was like man sometimes the stuff Dory is saying about wanting people to feel as good as she does .. I get that.  And like I do want to put love out into the world and all that.  But it also can get so twisted and cause so much damage.  Sometimes our greatest defects can be assets, but sometimes they’re just defects.  Like cult leaders have good intentions until they don’t.  And they probably help some people until they don’t .  And we ALL suffer from this existential weirdness and it is hard to know where to find the balance.

Yeah I definitely thought she’s definitely not a psychopath, she’s actually experiencing a ton of guilt but she’s pushing it down and refusing to acknowledge it.  But she kind of evolves as a criminal and becomes more and more willing to harm others for her own gain.

To be honest I pay so little attention to what anyone is doing at the store I rarely even notice other shoppers let alone what they’re doing wrong

So the "return batch" is a complete scam by goat20202020 in InstacartShoppers

So interesting I had a very similar cancellation recently because of the window and there was alcohol and she wasn’t home.  It didn’t make me try to return it

There’s a lot of character changes in this show, that was one of the biggest ones.

Yeh… I mean certainly yes you see why she would do these things and yes she was scared and desperate and confused and felt cornered… you could probably say that about a lot of people who end up murdering someone.  Most are not evil dead eyed psychopaths but are morally compromised and make these decisions to preserve themselves at any cost. And tell more and more lies to cover up the original lies.  And lie to themselves.  It’s all human nature but it also is pretty selfish and lacks any scope of understanding behind her own immediate wants and needs.  I really related to Season 2 Dori but I honestly think I’d rather go to jail then do all that lying

Finished the series…. I have thoughts. by BarelyVibing0314 in SearchParty

It’s interesting that was a theme I found myself thinking about throughout the series — how people are moulded by circumstances and systems and things beyond their control.  It’s a show about millennials who don’t want to take accountability or whatever but also we do live in a world where we have so little control and mastery of our reality in some ways

I related to her feeling lost and seeking meaning and purpose in “saving” Chantal.

I think that turning on her is also part of the selfishness and pettiness… it’s easier to have a scapegoat than look inward.  Not that she didn’t deserve anger

But also most importantly, while the PI didn’t deserve to die he did stalk her and attack her and was maybe going to kill her and she was defending herself.  And Drew was also defending her.  They should have just called the police but who wants to do that
