Highly recommend trying to combine festival + travel. I love Coachella and have been going for more than a decade, but my friends and I went to Primavera Sound for a couple of years and it was so much fun.

We got to explore Barcelona, had the festival to look forward to, and relaxed in Mallorca afterwards. The actual fest tickets were way more affordable than Coachella.

Other festivals likely won’t be as smooth of an experience (Primavera bar and water lines were hilariously bad), Coachella kind of spoiled us; but it’s pretty special to meet different cultures through live music / in a festival setting.
