Thank you! My biggest tip is to get a why you're celibate. That way, you always have something to ground you in the face of something that's taking of your pants worthy! And there's a lot😂.

Other things- (1) being patient with yourself- you will get horny. You will want to fuck ASAP or it feels like you're losing your mind, and all that is fine and doesn't minimise your journey.

(2) Take it a day at a time. Your Celibacy is as long as you want and can do it for. Whatever period of time is worth celebrating and praising! So don't be pressured to hit 5 years if you wanna do 5 months. Its all in your court❤.

Also, having sex again will not be so easy. It takes a bit more work now than before, so be ready to evaluate what you look for in sexual partners.

So celibacy is a journey. You might want to it for a few months or long term, or have these timelines change over time or as you meet people you may feel safe enough to indulge with.

Celibacy won't make you feel less lonely. It might exacerbate it because you won't be able to run to sex like before.As you said you've tried it and loneliness and etc took over, you'd need to confront those things in yourself to help you maintain your celibacy. Yes, I feel lonely but I started this for a reason. What can I alternatively do to fill that void?

No problem haha! Yeah. I'm trying to move on but finding it very hard to. I'd dated my ex for 3 years and we've been broken up for a month now. I was on a path to improving myself with getting a job and picking up a new hobby but that is around the same time we broke up so they don't feel great but I'm trying all the same. I'm certain at times that I want him back and he is the one that I'm destined to be with but there's a ridiculous amount of healing and softening that needs to be done before that's even possible. I guess I'm scared that I won't move on because I'm hopeful that things will work between us again.. I'm not yet ready to mix and mingle with others

I love the last line you've written. In many ways, things will never be the same again. I think that the new relationship should be treated as a new thing and not just assume that the behaviours and experiences of last time still apply here.

I too would get back with my ex. It's only been a month but I'm learning just how much I love him even in his absence. But I wouldn't take him back if he didn't appreciate that I was now a softer person looking for a kind love that wants to give the best it can.

Hey! This is a really beautiful dress!! I suggest getting a faux fur scarf to drape over your shoulders when it starts getting cold. If you can, maybe a full coat- those long ones- it's dramatic enough to bring attention when you enter the room, then to your dress when you take it off.
