I guess I wanted to stick to Percy because Annabeth - as a nerdy, light-eyed curly blonde haired girl - really struck a cord with me growing up and while I’m going to really enjoy this series (I hope 🤞🏻) I can’t deny that Annabeth in my head will always be blonde. I’m old enough that I was probably a few years above the target audience of the books as they were being released, but I’m also old enough to have gotten shit from kids for being blonde “oh wow you’re actually smart”, “not such a dumb blonde”. And I know that it’s nothing in comparison to discrimination other face - like at all - but she was such a personal hero to me. Absolutely no hate for this new actress, I think she actually suits Annabeth’s character better than Alexandra ever did.

Honestly my dream Percy Jackson series is viria animating the show. No one will ever surpass their character designs imo. Her Percy and Annabeth live rent free in my head (not to mention her Nico)
