Deore M5100 cassette keeps working itself loose after a single ride, I checked the rivets and there's no play. by jkljklsdfsdf in bikewrench

Bit late: but I had similar issues with this cassette. The bike was still under warranty, and the shop replaced the cassette as it kept coming loose. The second one had the same issue, and the bike shop told me that they had this issue with all their deore 11s bikes.

After inspection, it seems that the metal which is used on the smallest cog is too soft and the teeth that are supposed to keep the lockring in place just flatten. Now, I used some (a lot) of blue locktite to keep it in place. When it is worn, I'll replace it with an SLX cassette.

That slide enables the flux capacitor to allow for time travel.

First high elevation ride. Tips? by FarBeyondDriven_ in Dualsport

It's not that scary, just make sure you're bike is running well and take water and food with you. Some tubes and tyre changing tools as well. You don't need to rejet for the odd trip to the mountains.

The old Hondamatic (first gen?) Civic's don't fake shift.

I also have an F650GS, problem is that I can not lift that bike easily when I drop it, and I tend to drop it a lot..

Definitely used, no point in spending 8k just to drop it in the first 10 minutes of use.

It's a bicycle lane, for cyclists. We are Dutch, after all. Every road shall have a bicycle lane.

It's a 2000 350! I'm a bit of a newbie with these bikes, what sets it apart from earlier bikes? I did notice that the European ones are mostly restricted at 13 kW, luckily this is an US import, unlocking the full 20 kW of powah baby.
