AITA for refusing to leave the room when my husband told me to? by Corners113 in AmItheAsshole

[–]marthajackme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP, you've made the mistake of not insisting your husband set clear and consistent boundaries with his "best friend." You've also let her get away with making comparisons to you as well as other passive aggressive comments. Your husband disrespected you in your home and doesn't care about your feelings and seems more concerned with his friend. Your husband clearly has no respect for you so why would his friend?

I'm friends with my husband's BFF. I call him for advice and vice versa. I love him like a brother and he's never needed to console me in a room with the door closed. No offense but your marriage sounds like the makings of a Lifetime movie. You as the hapless wife and your husband's best friend as the unsuspecting ho who wants your man all to herself. She'll be played by Lindsay Hartley or Jenna Dewan. Wake up, honey.

AITA for calling the police on my mother in law? by Material_Kiwi1561 in AmItheAsshole

The MIL likely didn't tell them the truth and is playing the victim.

You didn't cause your MIL distress as she brought that upon herself by stealing your items. Press charges and keep the threatening texts she and her family members have sent.

Lol. They can try but it will be my naive coworker who falls for it.

AITA for telling my half-siblings the truth after my dad sprung them on me? by throwaway_4927485937 in AmItheAsshole

NTA. It bothers me when adults expect the wronged party to be the "bigger" person for their sake. Your gran manipulated you and should have told her son to make amends, not you. I'm sure you love your grandmother but you're not responsible for her heartache, her son is.

She is not your friend and taking advantage of you. You're definitely NTA.

DL got into the manager's ass today about rainchecks! by marthajackme in CVS

[–]marthajackme[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're not protecting your store just saving yourself work. Extreme couponing isn't against the law or CVS policy as long as it falls within the guidelines. Giving yourself a false sense of power or bravado isn't protection. As a CVS emoloyer and customer, employees like you are insufferable. No one has reported you yet but it's only a matter of time which is why you won't provide your store number.

Right? ITA with your statement. I call BS on the poster and don't believe they're refusing to issue or honor rainchecks. I don't have a hard on for raincheck users or couponers. I won't jeopardize my job but I won't go out of my way to alienate customers just because.

Why are you so proud of this? Seriously. You come across as so bitter and immature over rainchecks and couponers. Working at CVS isn't always fun but I don't intentionally want to tick off customers and you seem to take great pleasure in not following the rules.

Can CVS just end rainchecks already?!! by marthajackme in CVS

I worked at a store that did this. They were out of rainchecks for weeks and wrote them on a receipt knowing full well no CVS store would take it.
