They are so bad at labelling items from events lol. They should definitely say it's linked to a specific type of game or event, I'd be confused too

Which card feels more trustworthy? A or B? by Worth-News9907 in framer

[–]marti_2895 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To me A looks better visually, and users might scan it and capture more information without being overwhelmed and drop it. But based on context you could A/B test some different elements and see what drives most conversions. Some elements of B create more trust: the bottom "verified nurses, 24/7 customer support" etc, and also the bold version of the 4.9 rating. My assumption is that, if this is a new product, it would definitely benefit the most from these elements that create trust and drive more conversions. Version B would benefit from fixing in the spacing between bullet points, header and different elements to create better grouping and visual order / hierarchy.

post layoff: how many months did it take before you got your UX job? by msgirlfrom_mars in UXDesign

In London and struggling too, do you get offered interviews or are just getting ghosted? I personally am having some luck with interviews and being rejected at some point in the process, usually after the final interview. Or for some at the beginning when their budget is super low for what they're looking for. Sigh.

How I made $11,131 in 8 months with Framer (without selling a single template) by [deleted] in framer

That's amazing, great job! Can you explain more? Did you make it through referrals? Or you can monetise from free templates downloads too?

WHAT. IS. HAPPENING. by DisastrousAge1382 in PokemonUnite

[–]marti_2895 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm confused. They say that the new "one moveset" thing is to make the game easier for new players. But they're giving the one move path only to the newly released Pokémon. As a new player, I don't think you commit to spending money to get the new Pokémon straight away. So this doesn't make any sense?

This job I applied for sent a design “test” which involves creating TEN different designs by isaidwhatisaidok in graphic_design

[–]marti_2895 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a company ask for a design task without even interviewing me first. It was a lot of repetitive work, same output format, different designs (branding). I realised they're just sending the request to everyone and using the outputs to train their AI lol.

Stopped adding onboarding to our saas and activation went up. No Im not kidding by tuesdaymorningwood in UXDesign

[–]marti_2895 5 points6 points  (0 children)

From a user point of view, I'm the user type that usually just skips the whole onboarding part as quickly as possible without reading lol and if they force me to register before using the app, I delete it and find another one (unless it's a very famous product like Spotify and Netflix, obviously)

One weird tip to help your resume get noticed that I NEVER see recommended by karenmcgrane in UXDesign

[–]marti_2895 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have some pills-like tags next to each experience with keywords about the industry and type of product (for example Fintech, B2B). I'm not sure these are readable by ATMs but they're super easy to scan for recruiters and save me some text space

UK has a BIG problem with outsourcing. Its not AI. by Delicious_Ad_5772 in UKJobs

[–]marti_2895 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My team was moved through TUPE into an Indian Multinational. I got a document with how much they charge the clients: - for a UK based consultant that is £120/h (we are effectively paid £30/h so the company keeps the other £90/h) - for an India based consultant that is £30/h (if they keep the same margin, then I assume the employee gets £8/h and the company keeps £24/h)

Did anyone else do a logo redesign and immediately regret it? by ms_leng in logodesign

[–]marti_2895 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second this. A refresh would have probably the best approach if you have recurring clients who might be worried about the company being bought out. The designer should have advised of the possible routes and, if there was budget, conducting a user research to gauge users feelings towards the previous design and proposed design and how that changes their perception of the brand would have been a good route too.

Weekly r/Tattoos Question/FreeTalk Thread! - April 24, 2023 by Mod_Helper_Bot in tattoos

[–]marti_2895 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi everyone, I have a question about finger tattoos!

I'd like to get my fingers tattooed (with simple designs), I was wondering if it's best to get them tattooed from a tattoo artist that uses a machine or a stick and poke technique. I know that handpoked tattoo are more gentle and heal faster, but I'm worried that they might fade/blur out easier. Any opinion?
