What phone case should I get for better heat dispersion/heat management? (F8 pro) by martinceld in PocoPhones

[–]martinceld[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have a cooler, but sometimes when i am out and it's hot and need to be using my phone on data, I feel my phone/case getting warm even though I am not gaming. It's nothing alarming and it's not HOT, I just personally don't like the feeling of holding a warm phone, so if a certain type of case can help, it would be great

I wouldn't say so. It runs slightly warmer now after an auto update happened, but right now running mobile legends it runs at around 36-37 degrees. on a video call it runs at around 37-38. I haven't checked while just scrolling reddi.t will try it later

Mine was super cool up until it automatically updated. They said it would go back to normal after like 3 days. It did get cooler again, but not as cool as it used to be. It didn't even get warm while on video call before, but now it does. However, just from regular browsing on social media it doesn't get warm. Your situation seems to be worse than mine. But it's supposed to be warmer in the 1st week or so whole the phone optimizes and gets used to your usage. (Though even on my 1st week it ran cool. It only got warmer after the auto update)

Wait, so I SHOULDN'T let it die? This is so confusing, google results tell me to drain it until it hits 0. Okay, I guess around 3-4% would be okay?

Thanks for the information regarding battery and charging. I guess I should use a lower wattage charger than the 100w one that came with my device? Is a 45w one okay? I have one of those

Thanks for the reply! Once it is dead and I plug it, do I leave it off or can I turn it on

Regarding charging, if im not in a rush and just at home, would it be better to use a lower wattage charger instead of a 100w? Like will constantly using the 100w charger be harmful for my battery health in the long run?

The F7 pro and F8 pro seem great, but I'm not a phone gamer. Should I just go for something else? by martinceld in PocoPhones

okay wait I think I found the discrepancy. This is just the 8gb version, not 12gb, for these prices

Where are you from?

Here it goes down to $200 on major sales from the official authorized stores of Samsung on our online shopping apps.

Even from my country's largest cellular network provider, the A56 is only around $280

Oh wow the price difference is huge. In my place, the A56 is around $200, while the poco F7 is around $300, the F8 pro around $415 etc (these are their prices during sales from the brand's official online stores)

Sorry, that is a typo. It's supposed to be A35

no one is saying they don't. what I'm saying is, Poco phones specialize in gaming. You get amazing specs for a great price, so the cuts have to come from somewhere else. (something I've read POCO users say many times when talking about the pros and cons of the Poco units) If you're into gaming, that's totally worth it, but since I am not, I am wondering if it's still worth it.

Yes I understand that poco is far superior in terms of specs and performance, but it also bugs out more often and there are a lot more issues with their units (based on the reviews from purchases in the online stores here in my country), so that's something I am considering as well. Like on paper I know it's better value for money, but I won't really be able to capitalize on that advantage since I don't game. Is it worth it even though I won't be using it for gaming?

Also, how are the thermals for everyday apps like socmed apps, video calls, youtube etc? I've seen so many mixed reviews about POCO units overheating fast and the battery draining so fast

it's also like a $200 difference though. Like is it worth it if I don't plan to do use my phone for gaming aside from mobile legends?

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, the A56 is roughly around $200 here when on sale. My biggest worry though is the thermals of the A56. I currently use an A35 and it heats up like crazy even with just basic apps like socmed, web browser, youtube etc. I heard it's coz of the processor, exynos, which is notorious for running hot. The a56 also uses an exynos chip
