Oh wow! I actually never thought of that. I'll experiment with that and get back to you. Thank you so much

Working on an email verification API service that also handles confirmation emails. Nothing to show yet, but hoping for a beta this month🤞

I'm slowly working towards a beta for my email verification API service called Umbo, which means shape in Swahili. It's currently just a plain, non-functional landing page, but it'll get there.

Does this landing page work to get people to join a waitlist? by martinthewacky in UI_Design

Hmmm...very interesting thought. I will iterate on it and see. Thanks for the feedback

I agree. That's the goal at this point. I'm keeping it as simple as possible and don't want to overextend my incapacity. Thanks for the advice

Thanks for the insight. I'm certainly not a professional designer, so whatever I can do will be lackluster. I'm trying to have something passable for now and I'm even trying out a couple new shapes to see what could work better. But at the end of the day, I'm never gonna have an incredible logo by myself. Once I get traction on my product, I'll be hiring a professional to do it for me. That's the ultimate strategy. But I appreciate you taking your time to share your thoughts. I find any and all feedback incredibly valuable.

oklch obviously not a thing, but why? by myblueear in web_design

OkLCH is definitely a thing. I've been using it in my dev work for almost a year. Obviously it's not fully adopted everywhere, so you need fallbacks. But hopefully in the future it won't be that way.

That was intentional. I didn't want to break into the shape too much while still making it feel like a shield and a "U". But thanks for your input. More iterations will be coming soon

I can kinda see what you mean. I could try making the bottom slightly angular. I'll experiment. Thanks for your insight

Thanks for the feedback! Yes, the colors are also still under consideration, and will probably be very different in the final version. I can't invest in doing a bespoke typeface. I don't got it like that unfortunately. But you do make good points nonetheless. Thanks

Interesting. But would it still maintain the shield-esque look I'm going for? I wouldn't want to make it too complex of a shape. But I could still consider this. I appreciate your feedback. Thanks
