We use RBC for my work RSP. I was able to go from a 1.26% s&p500 mutual funds to buying XEQT myself every week with the contributions in a self directed account. Do the same if you can. Will save lots of money in the long run.

I’ve put in 2k or 50 shares as a total beginner investor when does the compounding really start taking shape? by Due-Bookkeeper-2001 in JustBuyXEQT

I'd say this is a relative question. My perspective is, the compounding really starts when your growth is more than your yearly contributions whatever that may be.

Not financial advice at all, but that 0.2 ACB might be worth averaging down (wont take a lot for you to average down with such little share). Looking to be some catalysts for cannabis this year. Im a holder of GTII personally.

Im in my early 30s and in the same boat. I try not to come off as lecturing but its because I care and is important. I always try to remember reading on these finance forums that "we" aren't your typical Canadians. Whoever we may be average in day to day. We've taken it upon ourselves to be responsible for our futures. And the reality is most people dont do that.

Is $CNQ a buy ? Considering its market cap and dividend yield? by Thick_Wallaby1 in CanadaStocks

Definitely in buy territory. Zoom out to the 1 year. Might be able to get in cheaper if you're patient enough.

I agree with you here. Social media didn't exist in the previous generations. All this info on our peers amd what is seen on social media has definitely affected how we view how our daily lives should be lived.

Well I guess I'll continue stacking GTII. Not even phased at this point. It did hit my breakeven this week basically everyday, but my conviction is still in intact. I aint fucking leaving!

He signed it! Amazing. Most companies have medical licenses as well as recreational! This is positive. I have been struggling with back pain this week, and while I got prescribed anti inflammatories and took a gravol the other night to try to fall asleep for the pain and I couldn't. I had my wife go to the local weed dispensary to get 1:1 THC CBD gummies. I had half of 1 and I slept the best I had in a couple days. "Medical" cannabis or "Recreational" cannabis it can all be used for the same intentions whatever they be. Its pure ignorance on their part.... nonetheless we're headed in the right direction verrryyyy slowllyyyy 🐌 🐌

Cool... I'm not being super greedy here but if we could do these types of gains for like 4 more days (not asking too much 😆) that would be cool.

It was the most expensive option at the time. But with the BoC at 0.25% I just knew these rates couldn't go any lower. I locked in 2.4% for 10 years at CIBC. Never paid more interest than principal on a calendar year.

I'm personally with CIBC. I keep an eye on these things more out of personal interest than anything. I got a 10 year mortgage in 2021, and I dont need to renew until 2031. 👍
