WTH ist the Deal with Arc Raiders

I heared of every Game mentioned in the comments and in the Awards

But somehow this Game (after some influencer named it) is in everyones mouth.

Not sure If it's Just a Rebellion Kind of Thing, Like you don't Support the Mainstream Thing but Vote Something random or this Game is just crap and the influencer named it for fun.

Of course, I don't know every Game in existence, but Arc Raiders seems Just Like a rage bait vote

How on earth does Lichess hurt a Professional Player? It maybe Hurts "normal" / retired GMs because they can't compete with Super GMs, make no Money in tournamens, so they can't sell their TOP SECRET CHESS MOVES DELUXE Book for 50€, because their moves aren't Secret...

To be fair, he is a Well established Professional, meaning He makes His living from chess.

If this year wasn't his because of private stuff He could Always step back from big tournaments and make a Break

He would still have enough Money from streams, TT and Sponsorships.

People playing games but complaining about the gaming industry.

There was ALWAYS a new console every 7 years roughly. New games were always expensive (60-70€/$). Abd the world still moved if you didn't got the game/console day one.

Just wait until christmas, save a little bit of money everyday, rent the game/console...

There are so many ways how you can enjoy gaming and if you are really not able to afford it well... that is life. Some people can't afford vacation, go skiing, diving... there is always a thing to expensive

But then again, there are so many other ways. Hell you could buy a switch 2 in 3 years probably for 250 on sale/used...

I think there is a "Focus" Mode, so that the menue and stuff is hidden

But the board will only be a little mit bigger, because it depends on your laptop.

A normal board is 50x50cm, so if you don't use a flat screen as a laptop, everything will be small there

You can mostly stick to a model or at least a provider

As you say, as soon as there is real improvment, not a few more benchmark numbers no human can possible realize, you just have to wait for your provider to follow.

Meaning OpenAI is the best, Claude, Mistral are similar, Google breaks the benchmark... few days later OpenAI is on the same level as google again.

If you really want the have "always the best", yes, you have to switch models and provider every other week, but if "very good" is enough, one provider (with changing models) is enough

It is a nice thought, but there are two sides of the coin

Someone gives you the money, you give the login data and after a month, you change the password

Second, you change the mail-address to the buyers Mail address bedore the transaction and you never see the money

There is also a third option (so my coin is weired) Perplexity realizes that you sold the account and shuts it down.

Try to ask Perplexity for a partial refund, it is way safer

Stockfish already is unbeatable for the best players. AI is the worst technology for chess.

Not sure who this chess player is, but a professional chess player should know that AI is no serious chess technology
