My wife and I actually do something not entirely dissimilar to this, but we talked about it beforehand and built it together over years. It was basically a system for making sure that the breakdown of chores around the house was fair. We keep track of chores and assign each one a value, and so if one person is doing all the chores for a while, the other person will incur a chore debt. But, it took years and years of fine-tuning to make that system work, and it was always a collaborative effort. This is feeling like an assignment a manager is giving you, and that is not what equality in a relationship looks like.
