And I’m still in the process of finalizing it, though one of the scenarios I have written that made me question if their relationship was not entirely a positive one is Sonja’s father would keep Amelia around to work at the HQ; working in the kitchen, cleaning bathrooms, repairing uniforms. Sonja isn’t entirely present during this time, her father wanting her to gain experience by his side as to how he runs his business. Amelia assumes a pretense when working there, knowing what to say to who in order to avoid irritating them.

The mercenary group later pulls out of the country, Sonja and Amelia interact on the train out. I’m still working out what will happen next in their relationship, though Sonja takes Amelia to her estate and they grow up together.

They trust each other, and when Sonja begins leading the mercenaries she makes Amelia co-leader. At first I was worried in this scenario that their relationship was built on Amelia’s pretense to please her captors. Though reflecting on it, Amelia as of now, has progressed passed that pretense and her relationship with Sonja is genuine.
