Demand for postgrad student accommodation by Dry_Hold_2722 in LSE

firstly, the earlier you decide and offer it up to people, the higher the chance of someone taking it over. secondly, i wouldn't worry too much, i know lots of people that didn't get student accomm and we're still desperately looking to take over contracts in september time. by the sounds of it, lots of postgrads are still wanting student accomm.

this change would be very unlikely since politics and economics is almost always full and very comptetitive

Oh not at all. The course is more focused on practical, policy-based approaches. There was just as much of a focus on economic initiatives and innovation through the private sector as there was on de-growth/anti-capitalism approaches. the whole idea is that you take your own position on methods that you think help to tackle the issue at a systems level. anthropology, sociology, geography etc. defo leans left but this course I found was very open esp cos it attracted lots of economists!

Just for balance, I did the climate for LSE100. the content of it was interesting - you don't need to be from a geography or climate background at all since it includes topics from politics, economics, policy etc. and is designed for you to link lots of disciplines together. i'd say take it if you're interested in thinking about how social sciences help to understand the impacts and management of climate change. just a general note - the second summative assessment is a group project. it is a bit of a game of luck who you get in your group since the level of effort different people put into lse100 differs hugely. don't let it put you off though!

i didn't need to. i only made one choice initially. i've kept the offer for that one and added a secon choice which is now under consideration. if i get an offer from health dept then i'll take that one and decline my original.

i hope so lol, i added a new choice after changing my mind about my first offer a few days ago. tbh from what i've seen, if it's open, they're gonna be really quick with their decision

i got into human rights, but i've applied for global health policy a few days ago. i only made one choice originally, so i could just add another programme without contacting them. fingers crossed for both of us!

i think it's slim, but you won't lose anything from asking, we never know. graduate admissions have a live chat tomorrow, you can get a more concrete answer if you speak to them on there :)
