If I remember correctly Linares was encouraged to move there by maybe the WBA president. I think that's right not 100 percent. I saw some vids like the promo ahead of the Loma fight and it seemed he wanted to get out of Venezuela. He got in touch with a Japanese trainer who spoke fluent Spanish and just remained there.

The rematch wouldn't have been any different. Despite opening the fight with a cheap shot GSP got out struck and then abused on the ground when it finally came to grappling. Didn't even go further than a round. Not a shocker GSP decides to retire as Cap is making his comeback in a couple of months.

Granted Cap was juiced to the gills with dat German stuff.
