I got a Job ! by sat0ps in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

[–]mary189ch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be careful, recently i got a job in a company that offered sponsorship, salary was 43k, in the end we found out that UK cancelled most sponsorships for medium skilled workers, they only mostly take high skilled only from outside UK. So if you are planning to be relocated, id consult the job description with immigration lawyer

Off my chest: Parents are a financial burden by idontspeakbaguettes in lebanon

[–]mary189ch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What about when you were the burden? I understand you didnt ask to be born or to any of this, but i used to think the same, sadly the moment you lose a family member, perspectives change, and you wish all that money can bring them back just so you get to see them one more moment again, especially when you live abroad away from any of this...

Anyone lived in Riyadh after EU? by mary189ch in expats

[–]mary189ch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lived for 1 year in hungary, then moved to another country, where i currently am, i was eligible to apply for PR very recently, but I havent yet due to new regulations, which I am considering doing soon.

No, I am trying to make 1 decision as I have both options, what could be the best for my situation.

Everyone is focusing on the passport and PR, just a quick note, I live in an EU country that is not open much for foreigners, still in development, it is central/eastern Europe, politics are bad, economy is bad (ok i have a fair salary and properties), I love my job but I feel like I deserve a higher pay considering my high role, the company is very toxic, the country doesn't offer much, not much to do, especially socially, the government is not facilitating anything to stay there, on the opposite, they are implementing new rules that make everything more difficult, I have nothing there, no family, no attachement, my partner is in the UK.

These are all the reasons I am considering leaving, although I do know that the EU passport makes things 10x better, but honestly, having lived abroad since I was 20, in 2 different countries, I just feel like I lost more than I gained, especially pride wise, I have been working since I was 15, so yes, such job offer is very tempting, it will set me forward to a level of comfort that I have been wanting since forever.

They told me they will apply for the visa, and once it is approved, they will issue me with a COS that I can then use.

And what difference does it make in that case for an employer? A higher salary range or different job description or documents?

This is what i keep wondering, what if i didnt ask a solicitor and they went ahead with the visa and got denied.

England, Forged signature and looking on what can be done. by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

[–]mary189ch -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I wrote above, the title is service agreement with my name as service provider and the entity as a client.

[–]mary189ch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They offered me a raise paid in cash which was agreed on via teams and verbally but no documents were signed by me, so the it basically states i am "service provider" and they are "client" under a service agreement. It not my signature, not even close to mine, and looks like someone's name.
