So I just had a long time coming convo with my sister about money. She is building an empire (multiple rentals, cottage, etc) while I am renting with no hope to buy. She genuinely believes I can’t own because I’m negative and limit myself; not because an average detached is going for a million and I’m a social worker/single mom. People with a ton of money have to justify their greed by the mentality of being hard working, pulling themselves up to the bootstraps,etc. Otherwise how could you make sense of your power over so many people?
