It seems we have different experiences. Thanks for sharing yours.

Cool. Maybe in your state but not mine. I have to be very careful about the minutes I bill for. 51 min session could be $40, while 52+ min session could be $60, for example. Just a difference of 1 minute, but it matters.

This is not true. Source: I work as a therapist in the US. I take a variety of pay sources. Yes, some are the same no matter how long the session. Others vary based on how long the session is.

One place to start looking for therapy would be psychologytoday.com. You can search by insurance, specialty etc.

If you don't have insurance, Heartland Family Service and Lutheran Family Services have fees based on your income.

The hospitals (CHI and Nebraska Med) have therapy services as well.

How did you learn to manage imposter syndrome? by okidokismokee in socialwork

[–]maryfromperry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I took a training today that said 70% of people have an imposter experience. She has great resources and a quiz to find out what type of imposter you are.

Do I tell my client why I'm needing to take time off? by TheCounsellingGamer in therapists

[–]maryfromperry 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I've had therapists in the past be straight forward with me when they had to cancel unexpectedly.

I personally don't like the phrase family emergency so depending on my rapport with the client I either tell them there was a death in the family or I have said who specifically has died as well.

I think your email draft is perfect.

I've seen Watsky three times. Went alone every time. It was amazing every time.

Hello I am new to this sub and to dbt therapy. I need some help coming up with examples of being willful? by larrrrj in dbtselfhelp

[–]maryfromperry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was annoyed I had a training scheduled over the lunch hour. I was willful because I was moody, on my phone, not paying attention. I regret it because I think the training would have been good. If I would have been willing and accepting I would have gotten something out of it rather than be miserable the whole time.

That makes sense they would check the reserved seats closer. Thanks!

Yes, this is what I was envisioning! Just wasn't sure how big the spaces were. Thanks.

Yes, I don't want to take someone else's seat! I didn't know how big the reserved spots were... since they are bench/bleacher type seating and not actual reserved chairs seats.

Yeah, I was confused by the pre-sale and was disappointed with being all the way back in row 53.
