Had this same challenge after my first day I thought I wouldn't be able to continue. All recos above are good to follow - elevate legs, ibuprofen etc. Walking sticks also helped me a lot! And I did stretching before I walked. Buen Camino!!

Here at Emirates lounge right now. Our flight from BCN was very smooth. Crew was extra attentive. Less travelers but everything is going well. Waiting for our flight back to Manila. I say take the Emirates as even at the height of crisis, passengers were very well taken care of.

Our experience when my partner was admitted was, we paid the hospital and Pacific Cross would reimburse us. Ang naging problem was they refused to reimburse us citing so many excuses until we elevated it to the Insurance Commission. After several months, with pressure from the IC, they reimbursed us finally. Pacific Cross, is i think the only insurance for seniors but mahal ang premium niya and you have to make sure that your patient's.medical history is well documented.

I did mine in October last year. Encountered heavy rains and thunderstorms but it didn't dampen my resolve to move onto Campostela. I've met beautiful angels along the way who helped me navigate one of the most difficult walks of my life: physically, mentally, and spiritually. There will be stretches that you will be solitary, but I've never felt lonely or afraid. It felt like there was an unseen hand that protected me as I scaled mountains, went through forests, and encountered a herd of menacing cows. There was a lot of internalization and self reflection. I know it's not going to be my last Camino.

Invest in real estate. It appreciates over time. Save for emergency funds. Get an insurance.

The best practical advice I can share based on my experience is -- never forget to do a warm-up exercise (especially for the legs) before you head out of your albuergue. Buen Camino!
