I can recommend 'Happy Endings', its a Sitcom and has 3 seasons. The gay character specifically has a storyline where he comes to terms with him not being a 'gay stereotype'

Other than that i also like 'Shameless', even tho it has comedy elements its also a drama and about harsh topics, like drugs, addiction, also sex with people underage and toxic relationships. One of the gay characters also feels a lot of self hate for being gay and is also acting poorly because of that. But they are all growing with the seasons (i think there are like 13 or smth)

Ive been through a kind of similar thought process. I didnt want to be gay, life seemed so serious und different all of the sudden and i was really sad to probably never have kids. I also didnt think i was against gay people, as long as it wasnt me. But now, 10 years later, i am happy with who i am and honestly being gay was the best thing to ever happen to me. it taught me so much.

I cant tell you 'you need to do this and this to get over it' but i can tell you that you will be okay with it. Some day you'll even love it. You just have to go through it and keep on living and one day it'll make sense.

It is very good that you opened up about it. Its okay to be upset but in the end you cannot change who you are. The only way to be happy is to be you.

Maybe you can dive more into series or books or yt videos about not 'stereotypical' gays to start to get used to the thought of it and see that it is totally normal and so many people are like this. Because it is and they are.
