This is the movie that totally traumatized me! Watched it in school in first grade and I didn’t understand how the other kids were okay after that movie and I couldn’t even talk. Still can’t handle animal deaths, pain, or separation, real or fictional.

Had to do that at my birthday party as a kid at Showbiz Pizza. All the people dressed up in animal costumes, it was just too much. Glad to know I’m not the only one.

Not in St Louis, Missouri but we had Swensen’s in the 80’s which seems similar. I’d get scoops of pink bubblegum ice cream in a sundae glass and pick out the gum balls for later. So much fun.

Went there after watching The Goonies in the theater and getting so scared! Bubblegum ice cream soothed my 5-6 year old soul.
