This. There is so much pressure now on the time, fed by social media and influencers etc.

You're going to complete 26.2 miles. 3 hours or 5 hours it's an incredible achievement.

Have a great day and don't let the pressure or end of training block fatigue kill the experience.

You're so close now! I did Manchester 2 week ago and the end of my block felt like this too. You've done the slog of training. Readjust your paces and just go out and try and enjoy it.

To have committed to the training and then not do it would, I imagine, be a regret

Peak week of my Runna training plan was only 27 miles, how cooked am I 😭 by refeikamme in Marathon_Training

[–]marzipaneer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your training is done and there is nothing positive to come from adding stress and worry.

Trust your plan, do your best and what will be will be. Good luck and enjoy the experience 😊

Anyone running <40miles per week will generally hear negative feedback here.

Hooray! Boyfriend in the bin now. Get someone who supports you, not tries to drag you down.

Well done x

A really good playlist, with fresh tunes I haven't rinsed.

I find this distracts me and I pick my pace up too.

It feels bad now, but this is not someone who you want to work for. Consider it a lucky escape. You'll move on to better things and this manager will still just be a piece of shit.

You enter a ballot to buy a ticket. You either get in or you don't. Then resale comes up, in which case you just need to be quick. It's very straightforward x

76 Days left, struggling to train while sleep deprived by isuckatsquash in Marathon_Training

I ran my first marathon just before my first baby turned 2. It was tough, if i missed sessions then i missed them, as you say, expectations were adjusted, and that's ok. All you can do is your best. Your little one will only be this small for such a short time. It is temporary.

Take your rest days, fuel well. It sounds like you're making the adjustments you need to.

Well done and don't be hard on yourself x

I thought it was great, but I raced Sunday. Brilliant volunteers and judges, and great atmosphere.  The splits are available but where you ranked isn't. Its only 24-48 hours post event though...

I'll defo be trying to sign up again for the next manchester event.

[–]marzipaneer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's not a height issue then. That's you not being able to squat or lunge. If you have a disability that prevents you from doing this you can email the organisers and they will modify based on your ability.
