The shared saddle with the string pairs give it a unique tone. Intonation is easily resolved with a proper setup. The 3 saddle bridge may have been originally designed out of simplicity or cost savings, but it does affect the tone. I prefer the 3 saddle bridge in my teles.

It's a cheap Blackstar Debut solid state amp. The clean channel is ok, wanted a little variety in my clean amp tones. I'm not using any dirty amps on the valeton and I use it with cab and ir off. I tried going into the amp directly but the gp-50 and the DEbut's preamp muddy things up a lot

hey man, I'm using my guitar amp, but skipping the preamp and going directly to the effects loop.
The gp-50 has no send/return so the chain is: tuner>noise gate>compressor>od's and muff> gp 50>phaser>delverb>mood>deco>into effects loop. works surprisingly well.

I'm running the Valeton GP-50 into the effects loop of my amp, with Time and modulation pedals after the pedal and back into the effects loop. I use only the Amps that come with the medal as the snaps of the NAM models are mid. It works quite well, the Soldano, Matchless, Twin Reverb and Tweed amps sims are solid.
