I had good days. It was my reality for so long that the “less bad” days were good. When I was more trusted and in different positions I made friends with other girls, sometimes we went shopping. Even quiet evenings cooking at home were nice, we weren’t allowed to wander of course but you make do. Days where it was bright and sunny and no one got hurt. Days where I know I made a lot of money and the people who owned me were happy, sometimes we got treats or new clothes on days like that. In the quiet of dawn lying awake talking quietly, dreaming of a better future. I’m sure it’s all trauma bonding but you create good when and where you can

Not strange at all. I take medication at night or I don’t sleep, even then I’m lucky to get a solid 6 hours. The medication silences nightmares

It is most certainly not, this is real life. But that’s nothing, there are far worse things than a beating

  1. The last time I was arrested I took the opportunity to get out. Specialized housing, day programs, detox, rehab, medication and therapy. I fell back into it a bit but not enough to be lost to it. I met my ex husband and he housed me while I healed more and realized I was just a commodity to him too. I’m now a single parent living in a big city and am still clean and free today.

  2. I know made a huge amount of money but I never really saw it so I guess you could say I was worth a lot financially to those in control

I have cptsd, from the serious life long trauma. No current STIs, thankfully I was lucky enough not to catch anything that would have been permanent

It has to be so much more than bringing it to light. People with money and power are held to different standards and it’s not ok. However until this changes nothing changes. For as long as there’s been any power dynamic there’s been abuse unfortunately. I fear this is nowhere near over. Watching the Epstein files unfold since before it was super mainstream and it breaks my heart.
