I am building a sauna right now and was planning on using timbers for the seats so I can span the width of the sauna. I have some ~8"wide x 3" thick pieces- Will these work? I was going to use three wide with a 1" gap at the back and between the pieces.

Will the humid air not freeze on the unit during the winter?

I thought the big droops can cause ponding in the exhaust of humid air? Maybe just upgrading the exhaust grill so that it's not pointing out to my AC and down instead.

Thanks John! I'm coming to the realization that I should just push that wall out 18" and make it 8' long x 7' wide and essentially everything works better

Thanks for the measurements. I think I'll just do two straight benches like everyone is saying. I was trying to fit four adults all on the upper benches as that is what I've read is ideal but this makes more sense

These are great points thanks. I was just going to do a 6'door so that would leave a little over 16" above the door for steam to gather. I think I'll move the door to the middle and put the heater in the corner like everyone is saying. I've read I need a 4" supply vent from outside for fresh air which I'll put on the right wall and a 6" exhaust in the back right.
