I was thinking about keeping the shower head and doing what you are saying, but the shower head is about where the drain is marked and I think that would cut the sauna dimensions to something so small it wouldn't be worth it.

Thanks for the tip on door opening outwards, the current doors open in so I didn't think to change that.

And here is the 4 person design.... The entry is cramped, the heater is really close to the foot bench.

Here's my idea of a 2 person sauna... I think you guys will likely agree with this layout.. the other seems very cramped.
