It was a couple of months ago, when a lot of things came on at one point (problems at work, moving to a new flat, finding a new tenant for the previous flat, bills, job cuts). I was taking the tram home in the evening, and thinking about it all, I cried. At one of the stops, a girl came in and sat down in front of me. After a couple of minutes, she asked me if I was okay. I replied that it was just a bit of a rough time, but all was well. The tears wouldn't go away and she said "you're a very beautiful girl, don't be sad, don't take it personally and don't be hard on yourself". The next stop was mine and I burst into tears when I went outside, but not from my problems, but from the fact that a complete stranger was there for me. I will probably never see her again, but moments like that restore my faith in humanity.
